Mike Pearse is a freelance writer and artist currently living in Amsterdam. For over ten years he wrote and drew children’s comic stories for ‘The Beano’ which included publication of two hardback collections of his work. He has also been widely published in the Netherlands.

In 2001 Mike’s story concept ‘United Nations of Animals’ was the basis for the 3D film for a popular theme park attraction in the Netherlands. Since then, he has worked writing scripts and stories for a wide variety of museums, cultural organisations and corporations. He is particularly strong in situations where the story concept plays a key role in convincing decision-makers to fund a project.

In his spare time, Mike writes novels, short stories and scripts and has been twice short-listed in BBC writing competitions. He wrote the concept and scripts for ‘Prince Rufus,’ a series for children, which twice receiving funding and came close to development—although not close enough.
